Yantz becomes first BCFC QB to throw for over 7000 yards

Attachment 6220
He continues to re-write the record book as Raiders quarterback Jordan Yantz has set a new BCFC record.

On Saturday afternoon Yantz completed eight passes for 141 yards, giving him 7,004 in his
four year career. He becomes the first BCFC quarterback to reach the 7,000 yard plateau,
setting a new conference record. He would pass Kenhoong Yiem who threw for 6,964 yards
with the Abbotsford Air Force from 2001-2005, Yantz’s total is good for fifth spot on the all time Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) record list. Ex-Regina Thunder John Makie holds the league’s top mark with 9,370 yards.

Makie played in the CJFL from 2001-2004 and spent some time with the Victoria Rebels.
Yantz still has two games left this season, but will face two very difficult defences in the
Langley Rams and Okanagan Sun.

Yantz is eligible to return to the Raiders next year.

It is also worth noting that Raiders QB Jordan Yantz is one touchdown pass away from setting a new CJFL All Time mark for career passing touchdowns, with 82. He will pass Tony Gagnon who played for the Saskatoon Hilltops (1980-85).

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
