NCAA Signing Day 2018: Choi preparing for the Ivy League lifestyle

CFC100 Inho Choi (Deersfield Academy, PA)Ā
Inho Choi is one of the smartest players youā€™ll find, so it shouldnā€™t be a shocker than he ended up signing with Columbia University in the Ivy league to further his career on and off the field.

Choi has been on the CFC100 radar for a while after establishing himself as a multi-use athlete playing with CFC50 Holy Names in Windsor, and he was their quarterback just two years ago when they nearly pulled off the upset over CFC50 Herman to end their streak on city titles. Even though they lost in that game, he still proved he had what it takes to excel not only on the Canadian gridirion, but anywhere theyā€™ve got a field hashed up and ready to play.

Instead of settling for the offers he had after his time in Ontario, he resurfaced this year at Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts where he was able to fit into his more natural positions of defensive back and receiver, which turned out to be a great decision. Standing at 6ā€™2ā€ with 4.5 speed, Choi is a nightmare for players to matchup with, and then when you add on top his sky high football IQ, it takes him to the next level that many athletes can only dream of.

Heā€™ll be joined at Columbia by fellow CFC100 Xavier Thibault who also signed with yesterday, and together theyā€™ll be on a mission to claim the programā€™s first Ivy League title since 1961 after the team fell just one game shy in 2017.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
