What is the CFC National Kicker Camp?

The CFC National Kicker Camp is an opportunity for quarterbacks from across the country to display their talent in front of the CFC Scouting Bureau. Each camp will be led by 6x Grey Cup champion Adam Rita, who will be providing instruction for the quarterbacks throughout the tryout. Every quarterback will be evaluated for the CFC100/CFC30 Prospect Rankings, and those born in 2005/2006 will be considered for the 2022 CFC Prospect Game on TSN final rosters. Participants in the CFC National Quarterback Camp will also compete in the combine portion and 1v1 sessions of the CFC Tryout and Showcase held at the same location with results sent to our American partners Tracking Football for further evaluation.

*Please note that quarterbacks can choose to attend either the CFC National Quarterback Camp for exclusive coaching and training with Adam Rita or the CFC Tryout and Showcase to be evaluated for the CFC Prospect Game on TSN final rosters.*

Who is Adam Rita?

Adam Rita entered the coaching ranks at Boise State as an assistant coach in 1969, and his long journey through the coaching world has now led him across the pond to Spain where he currently is the head coach of the Barcelona Dragons of the European League of Football.

In between, Adam became a CFL legend beginning his career with the B.C. Lions is ’83 as the offensive coordinator, and went on to win his first Grey Cup in ’85. After a brief stint as the head coach at the University of British Columbia in ’89, Adam returned to the CFL as offensive coordinator with the Toronto Argonauts, and took over the head coaching role the following season to win his second Grey Cup in ’91. His next stop would be as offensive coordinator with the Edmonton Elks in ’93 where he’d win his third Grey Cup, and then Adam eventually returned to Toronto in ’96 to win another Grey Cup as offensive coordinator. Adam was also briefly head coach in B.C. in ’97/’98 and on an interim basis in 2002, but his final two Grey Cups came as a general manager where he led the Lions to glory in 2000 during a six year tenure from 1997-2002, and the Argonauts in 2004 where he was general manager from 2004-2010.
