All three Bison teams make OFC Playoffs

The Ontario Football Conference has completed the regular season with all three Bisons teams making the playoffs. This is quite an achievement for our players and coaches since the Bisons are one of only three centres in the OFC, Burlington and Huronia being the other two, to accomplish this in 2014.

Varsity finishes in second place with 7-1 record

The varsity team finished the season in second place with a 7-1 record and will be hosting the Guelph Jr. Gryphonā€™s at Bisons Alumni field on Friday, July 25th. The ā€œFriday night under the lightsā€ game will kick off at 8pm.

Brantford Junior Varsity Bisons

Junior Varsity finishes in third place with 6-2 record

The junior varsity team came in third place in their division with a 6-2 record and will be heading to Hamilton to meet the Hurricanes this weekend. Time and date for the kickoff will be announced.

Bantam finishes in fourth place with 5-3 record

The bantam team won their last game of the season to finish with a 5-3 record and take fourth place in their division. The team will travel to Burlington to face the Stampeders on the weekend with a time and place to be announced.

ā€œBrantford is considered a small market centre with a population base of less than 100,000 surrounded by centres that have upwards of 500,000 people or more. The success that our teams have shown this year is a testament to the football talent we have in our community and the hard work that our players and coaches have put in all year. I am pleased that the teams have been rewarded for this commitment by making the playoffs in 2014ā€. saidĀ  Brad Ward, president of the Bisons organization.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
