BC High School Notable Performances: #CFC100 Claypool & Simson invincible

BC HIGH SCHOOL NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

• St. Thomas More RB Luca Bellini had nine carries for 132 yards and a score, caught four passes for 81 yards and a score, and also had a 45-yard pick six in a 43-13 win over Centennial. Teammate REC Demarius Henderson had a 15-yard touchdown catch to go with six tackles, two sacks and an interception.
• #CFC100 Kelowna QB Parker Simson had touchdown rushes of 60 yards and eight yards as part of a 39-6 win over Mt. Boucherie. Simson finished the day with 20 carries for 216 yards and went 5-of-9 for 75 yards in the air. RB Adam DiBiase had four carries for 20 yards and two touchdowns, while RB Seth Campbell had 12 carries for 38 yards and a score. Zack Vint led the defence with four tackles, two sackles, and also forced a fumble which he picked up and returned 40 yards for a score.
• Lord Tweedsmuir RB Drey Blair had 10 carries for 100 yards, including a 55-yard scoring run, in a 41-14 loss to Vancouver College. QB Jonny Chwaklinski had an 18-yard TD run, and also led the defence as a safety with 15 tackles and a fumble recovery.
• Abbotsford QB John Madigan had 177 passing yards and threw three touchdown passes in a 35-6 win over Windsor. #CFC100 REC Chase Claypool racked up 132 yards on kick returns, including a 75-yard TD return. He also caught four passes for 87 yards, made six tackles and had an interception.
• John Barsby RB Matthew Cooley had 20 rushes for 79 yards including the winning touchdown in a nail-biting 7-6 win over Argyle.
• Notre Dame RB Adam Turrin scored on a 15-yard touchdown run and kicked a successful convert to provide all the scoring in a 7-6 win over West Vancouver.
• West Vancouver RB Charlie Wells rushed for 112 yards and had his team’s only score in a 7-6 loss to Vancouver College.
• South Delta RB Michael Calvert returned two punts for touchdowns (60 & 45 yards), and also set up a score by RB Grant McDonald by returning another punt down to the opposition 5-yard line in a 41-6 win over Carson Graham. McDonald carried 16 times for 134 yards and had two touchdowns while adding nine tackles on defence. QB Kyle Chase went 14-of-22 for 180 yards and two touchdowns hitting REC Doug Jameson and REC Cooper Jones.
• Terry Fox RB Jeremie Kankolongo rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns, while recording three sacks on defence, to help his team to a 52-22 win over WJ Mouat. QB Jake Laberge went 6-for-10 for 172 yards and three touchdowns.
• Vernon RB Levi Nicholas had seven carries for 150 yards, including an 80-yard run, to lead his team to a 20-6 win over Pitt Meadows.
• Prince George FB Trent Price rushed for 157 yards and three scores to pace his team to a 54-18 win over Duchess Park. QB Kaiden Witso rushed for 55 yards for two TDs.
• Robert Bateman RB Anthony Bodgers helped set up a quick opening drive score going 59 yards on the first play from scrimmage in a 14-10 win over Holy Cross. He finished the day with 19 carries for 128 yards.
