The regular season “game of the year” took place last weekend as the number one ranked Vanier Cheetahs played host to the second ranked Champlain-Lennoxville Cougars. With plenty of hype leading into this one, it didn’t disappoint! Down to the wire, the Cougars looked to have the win, as a two yard score nodded things up at 16. But with a never say die attitude the Cheetahs D dug in and rose to the occasion, blocking the convert attempt, preserving the tie. In overtime Dimitri Sinodinos hit Vince Alessandrini on an 18 yard touchdown pass leading the Cheetahs to the 23-16 OT win.
