NOVA SCOTIA

Lockview Dragons (3-1) vs. Sir John A MacDonald Flames (3-1)
Saturday 1:00pm

A battle for second place in Group A of the Nova Scotia High School league. The flames Derek Wodz is coming off a 3 touchdown, 223 yards on 22 carries performance and hopes to keep that momentum going against Lockview. Team Nova Scotia’s David Culligan also hopes to continue his fine season for the flames. The dragons counter with QB Kenzie MacNeil, Brad Hill, Jamie Gillis and Sam Williams.

NEW BRUNSWICK

Fredericton Black Kats (4-0) CFC ‘HM’ vs. Oromocto Blues (3-2)
Friday 7:00 pm – Chapman

Always a big rivalry in the fredericton area, these teams faced one another in Oromocto in week 3 when the black kats came out on top 35 to 14. Kofi Bubar is the having a great year running the ball for the kat. The blues hope they have improved since the early season battle and to prove this need big games from defensive leaders Jessie Gauvreau, Warren Hickey, and Matt Fagan.

QUEBEC

CollΓ¨ge Notre-Dame Cactus (7-0) CFC #2 vs Γ‰. sec. de l’AmitiΓ© (4-3)
Friday 7:00pm @ Γ‰. sec. de l’AmitiΓ©

Preparation, determination, and execution were the buzz words around the cactus after their huge win over defending champs and former CFC #1 Γ‰. sec. CurΓ©-Antoine-Labelle Les Loups. Can they overcome a let down after such a big game? Offensive stars Brian Lusikila, Hans Sene, Antoine Laurier and defensive stars Louis-Charles Dussault, Brendan Coffey, Ugo Cavalancia hope to make sure this does not happen.

ONTARIO

Nelson Lords (3-0) CFC #8 vs. Holy Trinity (3-0) CFC ‘HM’
Friday 6:00 pm Bronte Athletic Park

Both teams sport identical records and almost identical for and against margins of victory. Both teams beat Corpus Christi by a single point. Brandon Clarke looks to pace the Trinity offense while QB Will Finch will lead the Lords.

West Ferris Trojans (4-0) CFC ‘HM’ vs. Algonquin Barons (4-0)
Friday

Both defenses have been exceptional this year giving up less than 10 points per game. Trojans QB Spencer Brear and RB Brad Piper hope to lead his offense to success against the barons defense. Chris Bedard, Rhys Libby, and Michel Bedard hope to do the same for the Baron offense.

Northern – Sarnia (4-0) CFC ‘HM’ vs. St. Pat’s (3-1) – Thursday
Sir Allan MacNabb (5-0) CFC ‘HM’ vs. Orchard Park (4-1) – Thursday

MANITOBA

St. Paul’s Crusaders (5-0) CFC #10 vs. Oak Park Raiders (5-0) CFC #14
CanadInns Stadium – Friday 3:15pm

This one has been circled on the CFC calendar since the beginning of the season. A rematch of last years final pits blue chip raider running back Nic Demski versus all canadian linebacker (CFC blogger extraordinaire) D.J. Lalama. But there is more to it then just two players. The crusaders will look to get their offense in order and QB Theo Deezar and RB Ryhs Hansen hope to finally get things going. The Raider defense will have something to say about that.

SASKATCHEWAN

Aden Bowman Bears (5-0) CFC #4 vs. Centennial Chargers (5-0) CFC #21
Thursday 7:30pm – Gordie Howe Bowl

The battle of the undefeated teams in Saskatoon. The upstart chargers against the favourites from Bowman. Can bears veterans Drew Burko and Quinn Pierce continue their fine seasons? As bears coach Mark Andrews said early in the year, when you are defending champs people are gunning for you and those charger players will be Sean Stenger, Jared Andreycjuk, Michael Bue and Kent Rempel.

Knoll (4-1) CFC ‘HM’ vs Riffel (3-1-1)
Thursday 3:30 PM Mosaic Stadium

ALBERTA

Tier 2
#1 Foothills Falcons at #6 Holy Trinity Academy Knights (Alberta Rankings)
Friday 7:30 PM Holy Trintiy (Okotoks)
The β€œBattle of Okotoks” take on a different meaning this year as no longer it is the road to Provincials rather it is just for hometown bragging rights. But believe me – that’s enough to make this the biggest deal in town Friday. With the Knights now an official member of the Rangeland Football Conference their ticket to the Big Dance will be punched through that league in the ASAA’s Region 1 while Foothills remains an independent team in Region 2 and will earn their spot in Provincials via a crossover game against the Rockyview Leagues Tier II Champ on Nov. 7. Still wouldn’t want to miss this game and all the rivalry that comes with it. (FB Alberta)

Tier 1
Harry Ainlay (4-0) CFC #16 vs. Spruce Grove (5-0) CFC ‘HM’

BRITISH COLUMBIA

W.J. Mouat Hawks (1-0, 5-0) CFC #1 vs. Centenniel Centaurs (1-0, 3-2) CFC ‘HM’
Friday 7:30 PM Percy Perry Stadium

After what seemed like a lot of exhibition games and cross conference battles the B.C. AAA Varsity division heats up with CFC #1 W.J. Mouat Hawks taking on the Centenniel Centaurs CFC ‘HM’. The hawks come off a 35 to 0 performance over Lord Tweedsmuir where the offense took advantage of great field position provided by the defense. Cam Bedore, Desmond Bassi, John Watson, Tanner Hamade, Luke Friesen. Do the centaurs have an answer for all those weapons?
