CIS CONFERENCE POWER RANKINGS 2014 (12): UPSETS EVERYWHERE!!! Does the “Q” remain in the top spot??

Wow! What a wild weekend it was in the CIS as the remaining three tickets were punched for the national semifinals. Streaks fell by the wayside as home favourites lost and upstarts became champions. For the first time in seven seasons someone other than the Calgary Dinos will be representing the CanWest in the national semifinals. The Manitoba Bisons 27-15 winners in the Hardy Cup will head east to face another streak-killer, the second ranked Montreal Carabins. In a battle of #1 vs. #2, les Carabins ended Laval’s 70 game home winning streak and more importantly ended their 11 year stranglehold on the Dunsmore Cup. In what was a straight up defensive slugfest, Montreal kicked four field goals to Laval’s three en route to a 12-9 win.Ā

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
