CJFL Offensive POW

 

PFC WEEK 2:

Running Back – #22 Wayndel Lewis – Saskatoon Hilltops

It was cold and wet in Saskatoon on the weekend … perfect conditions for some smash mouth running and the PFC Offensive Player of the Week did just that. Wayndel Lewis rushed 18 times for 177 yards, averaging 9.8 yards a carry.Β  His longest run was 44 yards on route to the Hilltops winning their home opener.

BCFC WEEK 5:

Quarterback – #15 Hunter Lake – Westshore Rebels

The Westshore Rebels held serve on Saturday afternoon and blasted the Valley Huskers 41-7.Β  Quarterback Hunter Lake was solid in the victory finishing 25 of 43 for 406 yards and threw four touchdown passes.Β  He also used his feet and carried the rock three times for 64 yards.Β  He is the BC Lions Offensive Player of the Week.

PFC WEEK 2:

Linebacker – #45 Brett Morrow – Edmonton Wildcats

The Edmonton Wildcats stayed undefeated on the weekend after a 19-14 in Regina on a cool, wet day.Β  The Cats’ defense was tremendous holding the defending champs to just 156 yards on offense.Β  One large reason was the PFC Defensive Player of the Week, linebacker Brett Morrow.Β  He was a beast with a game high seven solo tackles, a sack and a forced fumble.

BCFC WEEK 5:

Safety – #39 Josh Paisley – Vancouver Island Raiders

The VI Raiders – Langley Rams game turned into a classic as the Raiders came back and won.Β  Raiders safety Josh Paisley was a key factor down the stretch as the defense didn’t allow a point in the fourth quarter.Β  Paisley led the charge with eight solo tackles and one knock down.Β  His efforts names him the β€œBC Lions Defensive Player of the Week.”

PFC WEEK 2:

Kicker – #3 Brad Mikoluff – Winnipeg Rifles

Whenever the Rifles needed out of a jam last weekend, kicker Brad Mikoluff stepped up.Β  He collected 11 punts for 431 net yards, an average of 39.2 yards a punt.Β Β Β  His seven kick-offs gathered 188 net yards and he was a perfect 6-6 in converts.

BCFC WEEK 5:

Returner – #27 Michael Ritchott – Vancouver Island Raiders

VI Raiders returner Michael Ritchott is named the β€œBC Lions Special Teams Player of the Week” after having a game most players can only dream of.Β  The speedster set new Canadian Junior Football League record returning two kick-offs over 100 yards for touchdowns.Β  The first was on the opening kick-off as he returned it 105 yards, then followed up with a 108 yard return in the second quarter.Β  It’s the first time in CJFL history a player has done that.Β  He returned four kicks in total, collecting 268 yards, which is tied for third in CJFL history.Β  His average return was 67 yards, second most in CJFL history.
