RECAP: CFC # 3 Cactus open season with win, notable performances by Gouin-Verrette & Dalaroy

CFC # 3 College Notre-Dame Cactus opened their 2014 RSEQ Juvenile Division 1 campaign with a 59-25 win over CFC 32 College Jean-Eudes Eagles this past weekend.

Francois Rocheleau scored two touchdowns, rushed for 174 rushing yards on 17 carries and added six PAT’s for the Cactus.  Moreover, Lancelot Rivard tallied two majors and rushed for 171 yards on 13 carries.  Simon Desjardins scored a touchdown and racked up 62 yards on five receptions.

Ja’shonte Wright-Mcleish, Emmanuel Garnier and Max-Antoine Allaire each scored a touchdown.

Pivot Sebsatien Yeargan completed 10 passes in 13 attempts for 174 yards, one passing and one rushing touchdown in the victory.

Nathan Kneeshaw-Smargiassi and Bruno Lagace each registered 11 tackles to lead the Cactus defense.  Legace also recorded a sack.  Oliver Zerges recorded three sacks while Jean-Christophe Couture and Daniel Lambert-Tetrault each added a sack.

As for the Eagles, Dean Dalaroy tallied two majors and rushed for 264 yards on 21 carries.  Charles-Olivier Lavigne completed 16 passes in 28 attempts for 199 passing yards.  Benjamin DeTilly amassed 120 yards on six receptions in the loss.

Youssef Kaced registered 11.5 tackles to lead the Eagles defense. Philippe Seveno was successful on three conversion attempts.

CFC # 6 SEMINAIRE SAINT-FRANCOIS BLIZZARD 24, CFC # 36 SAINT-JEAN EUDES CONDORS 0:

Didier Lacombe recorded two sacks as well as scored a touchdown while Felix Hamel and Guillaume Leblond-Paquin each tallied a major as CFC # 6 Blizzard earned a 24-0 shutout victory over CFC # 36 Saint-Jean Eudes Condors.

Felix Antoine Dallaire caught an interception while Sean Cote recorded a sack for the Blizzard defense.  Additionally, Jermore Turcotte recorded a sack and registered 6.5 tackles.  Eric Verreault chipped in with 6.5 tackles.

As for the Condors, Scott Tremblay registered eight tackles.

CFC # 12 CURE ANTOINE LABELLE WOLVES 47, CFC # 46 ACADEMIE SAINT-LOUIS ARSENAL 0:

At Parc Roi-du-Nord, Benjamin Pierre completed eight passes in 11 attempts for 148 yards, three passing touchdowns, 73 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns as CFC #12 Cure-Antoine-Labelle Wolves crushed CFC # 46 Academie Saint-Louis Arsenal 47-0.

Samuel Makwanda also tallied a major, rushed for 103 yards on 13 carries and also had a 49 yard reception.  Bryan Owusu Bekoe and Mathieu Renault each scored a touchdown for the Wolves.

On defense, Marc-Darley Casseus recorded two sacks while Axel-Etienne Yanibada registered seven tackles.  Claren’s Edouard added a sack.  Darren Wiltshire, Vincent Rousseau, Thristan Tremblay and Jeremie Engelo each caught an interception in the win.

CFC # 28 ACADEMIE LES ESTACADES 28, JACQUES-ROUSSEAU SPHINX 11:

At Jacques Rousseau, Alexis Daigneault tallied two majors and rushed for 184 yards on 19 passes as the visiting CFC # 28 Academie Les Estacades defeated Jacques-Rousseau Sphinx 28-11.

Maxime Girard also scored a touchdown for Les Estacades.

On defense, Zachary Iaonne recorded a sack and registered 8.5 tackles to lead the way.  Jeremie Berube caught an interception and added eight tackles.  Uriel-Emmanuel Kalenga recorded a sack while Hugo Larue caught an interception for Les Estacades.

As for the Sphinx, Guillaume Renaud-Dumoulin completed 20 passes in 36 attempts for 180 passing yards.  Paul-Antoine Ouellette had 85 yards on 10 receptions in the loss.

Cesar Alonso Limo Ramos tallied the lone major for the Sphinx.  Elijah Bouziane and Markenly Philippe each recorded two sacks.  Jonathan Desbois added a sack and 9.5 tackles.  Germaine Renaud Dumoulin registered 8.5 tackles.

CFC # 30 TRIOLET HARFANGS 49, ROGER COMTOIS PATRIOTS 14:

At Plateau Sylvie-Daigle, Jean Simon Gouin Verrette scored six touchdowns and rushed for 302 yards on 27 carries are the Triolet Harfangs breezed past the Roger Comtois Patriots 49-14.

Felix Petit tallied a major and racked up 59 yards on three receptions.  Pivot Thomas Bolduc completed nine passes in 18 attempts for 113 yards and a passing touchdown in the victory. Julien Roy added seven PAT’s.

Xavier Ouellette was in beast mode as he registered 12 tackles for the Harfangs.  Additionally, Raphael Simard and Alexy Fortin each caught an interception.

Christophe Tremblay-Harnois and Felix Roberge each scored a touchdown for the Patriots.  Dale Leger was successful on both conversion attempts.

Marc-Olivier Paul Gros-Louis led the Patriots defense as he caught an interception and registered 10 tackles in the loss.
