Since the age of seven, Rory’s second home has been the football field. With his father having played junior football and being a Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan as well as two older brothers playing the sport, it was inevitable that he would end up following in their footsteps.

As a running back and linebacker for the St. Albert Fury Bantam team, Rory was awarded Defensive MVP as well as the Leadership Award. He joined the St. Albert Skyhawks of the Alberta Schools Athletic Association (ASAA). Ā During his time there, he has won Rookie of the Year and Defensive MVP honours.

This past summer, Rory has been getting his first real taste of recruitment and is satisfied with how it’s gone so far.

“It was especially exciting.” he says. Ā “All these schools talking to you makes you realize how amazing the recruitment process is.”

In the coming months, Rory has plans to visit his choice of top schools which he hopes will help him to make his decision. Ā Among his considerations are Alberta, UBC, Calgary, Carleton, and NCAA Division 2 school Simon Fraser. Ā Meanwhile, he is focused on training to improve his speed, strength, football instincts and knowledge.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
