Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (Central): Lineman Ventura is a passionate underdog

Dante Ventura is an athletic big man fuelled with a burning passion for the game, and yet somehow, he is still flying under the radar similar to Los Angeles Rams star defensive tackle Aaron Donald, one of Ventura’s idols.

“I have never been so passionate about something in my life,” says Ventura who adds, “I can’t imagine doing something else.” It is hard to imagine there are players with more passion, and desire for the game of football than Ventura. “When I play all my distractions leave, […] I feel the passion burn inside me, and happiness fills my brain, it is like a high, it is addicting,” says Ventura.

Ventura is a 6’3, 280lbs athletic young man capable of playing both as an interior lineman, and a defensive end, as well as offensive lineman. He attributes much of his success to his coaches, and his best friend.

“My best friend Yusuf Durodola because without him I would not be playing football, and it is my goal to be better than him,” says Ventura.

Ventura is also grateful for the help his coaches have provided for him. “My coaches help me a lot, wouldn’t be this good without them, I’m grateful for them,” says Ventura. His coaches also help him with his fitness plan during the offseason, “I workout with my coach in the offseason,” says Ventura.

Ventura is a big fan of Aaron Donald because they share a similar story, both are undersized underdogs, but due to their athletic prowess managed to play their position. “I’m an underdog like him, I’m undersized, but athletic, one day I’d like to be like him,” says Ventura.

Ventura is an ambitious young man who not only wants to make the CFC100 top prospects list, but “be the number one prospect at my position,” says Ventura.
