Andrew Smith, the 2011 Junior League MVP, posted a pair of touchdowns, while CJ Stephens added one, as the defending champion Gators took a 20-0 opening quarter lead in a rematch of last years Tier One Championship game.  Blair Winner, also with a pair of touchdowns, led the scoring for Holy Trinity, who trailed 27-7 at halftime.

Ryan Dixon, returning to LOSSA football after a two year absence, opened the scoring with a 28 yard run as the Paul Dwyer Saints made a successful return to Tier One football.  Reshaan Davis would add an insurance marker in the third quarter as he blocked a Pickering punt attempt and returned the ball 44 yards for a touchdown.

With less than two minutes remaining in the game and facing a fourth down situation, Holy Trinity quarterback Zack Elson kicked a rouge from within the Wilson 20 yard line to give the Titans the victory.  The Gators had overcome a fourteen point second quarter deficit to level the game before the game winning single.

O’Shea Williams was on the receiving end of two touchdowns passes in the third quarter to lead the Trojans to an opening week victory.  Williams alertly caught a pass that deflected off the outstretched finger tips of a Saint defender and he then ran the ball 73 yards to the end zone to break up what had been a defensive struggle.
