McGill adds a QuΓ©bec commit to their Class of 2018.
Drawn in by the allure of future prosperity, Nicolas Baillargeon, a wide receiver from CΓ©gep de Sherbrooke, will be heading north to the city of MontrΓ©al after committing to McGill.
Touted as one of Canadaβs top academic schools, Baillargeon said he chose McGill because of the school itself and the coaching staff. βThe opportunity those two things give me in my future and in my football career were really what made me commit,β the potential bachelor of education student said.
βThe coaching staff seems to be really passionate about what theyβre doing and they really seem to put the importance on the academic part of being a student-athlete,β Baillargeon added. βThey also look super passionate about the game of football and about all the complexity of it.β
Baillargeon spent five years with Les Barons du SΓ©minaire de Sherbrooke (RSEQ) in high school before spending the next three with Les Volontaires du CΓ©gep de Sherbrooke (RSEQ Division 2) in his hometown of Sherbrooke, QuΓ©bec. In 2015, the 5β10, 155lbs athlete was Les Baronsβ most improved player.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
