Sherbrooke adds two QuΓ©bec commits to their Class of 2018.
Kicker Louis Tardif from CΓ©gep Garneau know one thing for sure, when he joins the Sherbrooke Vert & Or, he will have to keep up his hard work and determination to see the field on game days.
Running back Maxime Gareau from Collège de Valleyfield will also be joining the Vert & Or.

Last season, the Vert & Or dressed two kickers, Mathieu HΓ©bert and P-A DβAstous. The coaches told Louis Tardif that they have no problem doing it again. βOf course, I have to perform well in order to play, but Iβll do everything I can to help the team as soon as I get there,β Tardif said.

βThe coaching staff is really young and they feel confident about the future of the football program,β he added. βI am really excited to work with former CFL player and Grey Cup champion Kevin RΓ©gimbald since he is the special teams coach. I also like the mentality of Head Coach Lecompte: nothing is given; you must earn your time on the field.β
Tardif, who is interested in computer engineering, said he also picked Sherbrooke because the reputation of its engineering programs.
The 5β8, 185lbs kicker and punter has been playing football for six years. In high school, he was part of Les Condors de Saint-Jean-Eudes (RSEQ). He spent his cΓ©gep career with Les Γlans de Garneau (RSEQ Division 1). The product of Beauport, QuΓ©bec City, also participated in the Wilson Cup on Les Γlites de QuΓ©bec where they captured the championship title in 2013. He was also a 1st Team All-Star at the Wilson Cup. While with Les Condors in 2013, he was the teamβs special teams MVP. In 2015, he was a 1st Team All-Star in the Juvenile Division 1 of the RSEQ.
Ready to take his kicking talents to the next level, Tardif left off with one last message: βPunters are people too!β

Maxime Gareau is from Rigaud, Québec, which is east of Montréal. In high school, he played with Les Voltigeurs du Collège Bourget (RSEQ) before joining Le Noir et Or du Collège de Valleyfield (RSEQ Division 1).
