Guelph adds one Ontario commit and one out-of-province commit to their Class of 2018.
The University of Guelph Gryphons have added some bulk to their defensive line in the form of defensive linemen Jeremy Kapelanski-Lamoureux from Champlain College Lennoxville and Curtis Woodmansey from Northern Secondary School.
Jeremy Kapelanski-Lamoureux
During his recruitment, Jeremy Kapelanski-Lamoureux told Le Journal du QuΓ©bec that although he was considering Concordia and MontrΓ©al, the choice ultimately came down to Guelph and Laval. He said he chose Guelph because he wanted to study in English and the feeling of the city and the organization was an important factor. Standing at 6β2, 240lbs, the defensive end and tackle played with the Champlain College Lennoxville Cougars (RSEQ Division 1). He also suited up for Team Canada and Team QuΓ©bec.
βJeremy is a huge add for us. He has the ability to play defensive in a 30 or 40 and move inside a bit with his explosiveness,β said Todd Galloway, the Gryphonsβ recruiting coordinator. βI think his impact will be immediate and with (him) joining us in January, he will have the chance to integrate and earn trust right away.β
Galloway added that the addition of Kapelanski-Lamoureux is part of the Gryphonsβ efforts to break into the QuΓ©bec recruiting scene. He is from Saint-JΓ©rΓ΄me, QuΓ©bec.

Curtis Woodmansey
Curtis Woodmansey is from Toronto, Ontario, where he played with the Toronto Jr. Argonauts (OFC). He attended Northern Secondary School and was a member of Team Ontario. He stands at 6β4, 285lbs.
βCurtis brings big size and aggression to the interior of our defensive line,β Galloway said. βHe is like his brother Coulter, has heavy hands and likes to strike. I think he will have a chance to come in and compete to be in the rotation.β
Galloway added that, βWe like to play both a 30 and 40 front, so having big size like him allows us to do both and be strong inside. We are very excited to add Curtis. Heβs not only a great player, but a great student and young man.β
