Canadian Football League Week #12
TORONTO – Travis Lulay, Brock Campbell, Tim Brown and Shawn Gore were named the Gibson’s Finest CFL Players of the Week for Week 12, the Canadian Football League announced today.
The four players were chosen by a panel of judges that includes former Canadian Football League players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde, now of TSN, and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.

Travis Lulay

Toronto Argonauts 23 @ BC Lions 28
BC Lions quarter back Travis Lulay was named the Offensive Player of the Week for Week 12. Lulay completed 24 of 40 passes and threw for 390 yards and two touchdowns in the Lions’ 28-23 win over the Toronto Argonauts. Lulay also chipped in with 42 yards on two carries, helping the Lions to the best overall record in the CFL.
With his touchdown pass in the first quarter, Lulay moved to second all time in CFL history after throwing at least one touchdown pass in 22 consecutive games. Sam Etcheverry sits atop that list having thrown a touchdown pass in 34 consecutive games.

Brock Campbell

Edmonton Eskimos 8 @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats 51
Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive back Brock Campbell was named the Defensive Player of the Week for Week 12. Campbell registered seven tackles and one sack in the Ticats’ 51-8 win over the Edmonton Eskimos. Campbell was a key contributor in limiting the success of all three Edmonton quarterbacks in the game as he earned his first 2012 Player of the Week award.

Tim Brown

Toronto Argonauts 23 @ BC Lions 28
BC Lions kick returner Tim Brown was named the Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 12. Brown compiled 77 yards on three kick returns, 52 yards on five punt returns and added 22 yards on one missed field goal for 151 total yards in the Lions’ 28-23 win over the Toronto Argonauts. Brown’s solid performance earned him his first 2012 Player of the Week award.

Shawn Gore

Toronto Argonauts 23 @ BC Lions 28
BC Lions slotback Shawn Gore was named the Canadian Player of the Week for Week 12. Gore compiled 96 yards and a touchdown on three receptions and added 17 yards on one carry. The Toronto, Ontario native’s touchdown with 3:40 remaining in the second quarter helped the Lions to an important first half lead over the Argos. Gore’s performance earned him his first 2012 Player of the Week award.
