Who were the best defensive players in day 2 of Football Canada Cup action?

With the no losing team scoring a touchdown on day 2 of the football canada cup their were many defensive players that we could hilite. The following are a list of a few of those players:

Defensive Line
1. Evan Gill – Manitoba – (PICTURE) Gill was all over the field on Wednesday. And not only on defense. he had 9 punts for a 40.5 yard average. His defensive stats were 4 tackles, 2 for loss, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery and 2 sacks.

2. Frederic Sicard – Quebec – Quebec played great team defense on Wednesday but one lineman who stuck out was Sicard. He finished the day with 2 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 forced fumble and 2 sacks.

3. Marcus Goods – Alberta – Goods had an impressive game despite his team losing. His stats were 4 solo tackles, 1 assist, 2 tackles for loss, and 1 sack.

4. Adam Melanson – Nova Scotia – Was the best defensive player for Nova Scotia. Adam had 4 solos tackles, 1 assist, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 forced fumble and 1 sack.

5. Brett Wade – Saskatchewan – Like Quebec, Saskatchewan played great defense and Wade was a big part of it. He finished the day with 4 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss and 1 sack.

Linebackers
1. Peter Gray & John Rush – West Ontario – These two were all over the field. Gray finished with 5 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss and 2 sacks. Rush finished with 3 solo tackles, 1 assist, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 forced fumble and 1 interception.

3. Louis-Charles Dussault – Quebec – The Quebec linebacking core were all over the field on Wednesday. Dussault finished with 2 solo tackles, 2 assisted tackles, and one interception.

4. Geoff Hughes – Saskatchewan – Hughes and the Saskatchewan linebacking crew were great. He finished with 3 tackles, 1 forced fumble and 1 interception.
