Who wants to play for Canada’s senior team in 2011?

Canada will be sending a senior men’s national team for the first time in 2011 to the IFAF World Cup in Austria. The team will consist of mostly former CIS, NCAA, CJFL & CFL players, or players still playing in europe or other leagues.

There will be a series of invited tryout camps in 2011 across Canada. CFC has partnered with Football Canada on this venture to become the official host of all PLAYER HILITE videos in our PROSPECT VIDEO section. There are already over 30 VIDEOS posted in this section.

Football Canada and the coaching staff will be using these videos to evaluate who will receive invitations to tryouts (as well as other methods).

There is no age-limit as this is an ‘open’ age tournament.

Football Canada has appointed former head coach of the Western Mustangs, Larry Haylor as the head coach of the senior team. Coach Haylor is the all-time wins leader for coaches in Canadian University History. He finished his career with a record of 178 wins, 47 losses and 4 ties.
The coaching staff is made up of some of the top CIS University coaches and has gained international experience with the Junior National Team, including:
