Jets sign Foley after release from Seattle

Looking to fill the Calvin Pace void while waiting on Adalius Thomas, the New York Jets claimed former Seattle Seahawks DE Ricky Foley on waivers Tuesday. Foley, a former CFL star, was released Monday by the Seahawks.

Foley, 29, played for the British Columbia Lions last season and finished with 12 sacks. He was named the top Canandian in the CFL. The Jets have had an eye on Foley since April. In fact, they worked him out at the same time as the Seahawks.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
