CJFL Outstanding Offensive Player of the Week

Mark Coons – Running back – Regina Thunder

Coons came into Sunday’s game trailing Winnipeg tailback Kienan LaFrance by only 24 yards in the race to determine the PFC rushing champion. Coons would light up an injury riddled Rifle defense on his way to the second best single-game rushing total of 2010 with 278 yards on 27 carries and 3 touchdowns and adding 2 grabs for 47 yards, one of which was an 18-yard TD catch in the 57-15 rout of the Rifles. He won the title with 1,153 yards, while LaFrance would be the runner-up with 1,063, despite an impressive 182 yards of his own.

CJFL Outstanding Defensive Player of the Week

Aram Eisho – Linebacker – Hamilton Hurricanes

Aram collects his second award of 2010 for his outstanding effort as the Hamilton Hurricanes advanced to the OFC championship with a 20-9 victory over the St Leonard Cougars. The three time OFC Defensive Player of the Year earned 21 defensive points with 4 solo tackles, 3
assisted tackles, a blocked kick, a pass knock down and 2 special teams tackles.

CJFL Outstanding Special Teams Player of the Week

Mark Mueller – Kicker – Vancouver Island Raiders

For the second consecutive week the BCFC Special Teams Player of the Week is Vancouver Island Raiders kicker Mark Mueller. His 28 yard field goal with under a minute to play sealed the Raiders fifth straight Cullen Cup. Mueller accounted for 10 of the 16 points, was good on all three field goal attempts (23, 28, 33) and was 1-1 in converts. He made nine punts for 301 yards and four kick offs for 123 yards.
