The Windsor Dukes were far from a full team last Friday but despite having only 20 players dressed the Dukes still managed to pick up a big 36-0 win in Langley over the Saints.
The Saints gave the Dukes all they could handle early on with a great defensive effort but were unable to capitalize on offence. The Dukes had no trouble taking the ball from the Saints and capitalizing where the Saints were unable.
The Dukes quarterback Zack McKnight showed again why he is considered by many to be the best AA quarterback in BC with his incredible display of leadership. McKnight was 13 of 19 passing with 3 touchtowns.
Langleyβs defence despite giving 36 points really did keep the game a lot closer than it was. They were led by two standout performances by Nolan Fookes, a batted ball and sack and the relentless pass rushing of Brody McIntosh.
Windsor has a bye before taking their undefeated streak to Mission on the final weekend of regular season play. Langley will host Handsworth this weekend at McLeod Park with a victory needed by the Saints to hold any hopes of cracking the playoffs.
