OFC Junior Varsity Week One Predictions

OFC JUNIOR VARSITY WK 1 PREDICTIONS:

Chatham Cougars @ Twin Cities Predators 1

This will be a good barometer for the playoff competition this year. Look for the Predators to come out fast, with Chatham bringing it close near the end!

Predators 31 – Cougars 21

Sarnia Sturgeon @ Twin Cities Predators 2

I can’t say that I see this game being close. Sarnia has a “tricky” offense and it will to much for a young Predators team to handle.

Sturgeon 28 – Predators 6

Sudbury Gladiators @ Clarington Knights

This one should be a battle. If your in the Oshawa region this weekend, i’d head over to watch. I was going to flip a coin but im going with a gut feel on this one.

Gladiators 21 – Knights 14

Burlington Stampeders @ Forest City Thunderbirds

I am not sure what to expect from the Stamps this year, nor the Thunderbirds. I would assume Forest City will have learned from the bumps and bruises last year, and the Stamps are dealing with a coaching transition. This one could start slow and sloppy with the Stamps coming out for a much better 2nd half.

Stampeders 28 – Thunderbirds 7

GAME OF THE WEEK “A”

Oakville Titans @ Huronia Stallions

In this awesome matchup we have Oakville up against OVFL escapee’s Huronia. This is another one of those barometer games. If Huronia comes out and handles the Titans, look out OFC, BUT I think Oakville learned a lot from their “Tier 2” Championship loss last year and come out with the intentions of leaving it all out on the field!

Titans 21 – Stallions 17

GAME OF THE WEEK “B”

Hamilton Wentworth Panthers @ Toronto Jr. Argonauts

Another week one head banger! Hamilton is perenially a dangerous team in the OFC and the Argos were the “Tier 2” Champions last year. This is a crucial game, can’t believe i’m going to talk playoffs week one but I see this having a huge standings implication as both teams look to be near the top and when you only play eachother once, the game has that much more importance!

Argos 24 – Panthers 23

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
