Class of 2027 RB Marcus Adams out of Miller Comprehensive in Regina, Saskatchewan, does not talk about football like it is simply a sport he picked up along the way. For him, the game feels inherited. Passed down through family stories, long drives to practices, and generations who already lived the football life before he ever carried the ball himself.

The Regina product comes from a long line of football players who helped shape his journey to the CFC Prospect Game in Hamilton. His father played defensive tackle for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. His uncle Tank played running back at Purdue. His mother suited up for the Regina Riot as a running back and punt returner. Around the Adams household, football was not some distant dream people watched on television. It was part of everyday life.
That family influence especially shaped the way Adams approaches the game now. He credits his mother as the biggest influence on both his football career and his life because of the sacrifices she made raising him while still helping him chase his goals on the field.
The production has matched the background too.
Adams exploded this past season for over 2,200 all-purpose yards while averaging nearly 11 yards per carry. He rushed for roughly 1,700 yards on 155 carries, added 309 receiving yards, piled up 25 touchdowns, and even tossed a 30-yard touchdown pass. The Miller standout already owns multiple city championships, a provincial title, and a UBC offer entering one of the biggest showcase opportunities of his career.
There is also something refreshing about how honest he is when talking football. One pregame song choice is βMany Menβ by 50 Cent. The other is βViennaβ by Billy Joel. That probably tells you everything you need to know about the balance between swagger and perspective in his personality.
