Football has been part of his life since he was nine years old, but the game became something deeper after that first season. Kennard talks about football giving him confidence, strength, and a sense of accomplishment early on, and over the years that foundation turned into one of the more decorated offensive line in Western Canada.

There is another layer to his story that deserves attention too. Since 2015, Kennard has been involved with the BC Burn Fund as a burn survivor, something that shaped his perspective long before major showcases and national rankings entered the conversation. That experience adds a different kind of toughness to the player people see on the field now. The physical side of football matters to him, but so does growth, resilience, and representing himself the right way.
His football path has taken him through programs all across British Columbia including the Abbotsford Falcons, Langley Mustangs, Cloverdale Cougars, North Langley Bears, Langley Hawks, and Langley Regulators before landing with the Langley Secondary Thunderbirds.
Kennard also speaks highly about the people who helped shape him along the way.
One of the biggest influences in his development has been Sandor Kardos, his offensive line coach from 2022 through 2025 and also his PE teacher through high school. Kennard describes Kardos as more than just a coach, someone he genuinely looks up to both as a mentor and person.
Then there is Arvin Hosseini.
Kennard first met Hosseini at a camp back in 2021 while the future CFL lineman was still playing at UBC. Years later, Hosseini now plays for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and was actually the person who informed Kennard that he had made the CFC Prospect Game roster. That kind of full-circle moment matters for young athletes trying to picture their own path through the sport.
The recruiting attention continues building too, with interest already coming from programs across Canada including UBC, Guelph, Western, Manitoba, Alberta, McMaster, and others.
For now, Kennard sounds focused less on hype and more on development as he heads to Hamilton to test his skills against the best in the country.
