Class of 2028 SAM/FS Leo Zbitnoff out of St. Mark High School in Ottawa, Ontario, has quietly stacked together one of the stronger young football careers in the province over the past few years.
Originally born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Zbitnoff grew up around football culture long before he became one of Ottawaβs rising defensive prospects. Living so close to Buffalo meant Bills football was everywhere, and that competitive atmosphere eventually carried over into his own journey once he started playing at 11 years old.

Since then, the St. Mark standout has built his game through multiple respected programs including the Gloucester South Raiders, Myers Riders, and Cumberland Panthers. Along the way came defensive MVP honours, team MVP recognition, an OSFL provincial championship with Cumberland in 2024, and an OFSAA championship with St. Mark in 2025.
There is a consistency to his football background that stands out. Zbitnoff has spent years around winning environments and physical sports, whether it was football, hockey, lacrosse, or karate. That blend usually creates players who are comfortable around contact and competition, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
Now the Ottawa product gets another major opportunity at the CFC Prospect Game on TSN in Hamilton, where he will line up against many of the top prospects from across Canada while continuing to build his name nationally.
