As the womenβs game continues to grow at the grassroots level, CFC wants to help identify the athletes driving that growth and give them another platform to tell their stories.
The first step begins with the expansion of the CFC player profile database, which is now officially open for submissions from female flag football players across Canada.
Athletes from coast to coast can create a free player profile. CFC will use the database to discover players and connect with athletes for future stories, features and coverage.
For more than a decade, CFC has worked to provide exposure for Canadian football prospects while building a national database of athletes from communities across the country. With participation and opportunities in girls flag football continuing to expand, we believe the time has come to bring that same approach to another rapidly growing part of the Canadian game.
And the player database is only the beginning.
CFC has bigger plans for its girls flag football coverage in the future, including expanded player recognition, rankings and opportunities for athletes to showcase themselves through CFC events and other initiatives.
There is plenty more to come.
