Class 2012: Brampton’s Faith Ekakitie 30 verbal FBS offers and counting (video)

Faith Ekakitie. Heard of that name? Probably not. He is originally from Brampton, Ontario but has been a superstar defensive end for Chicago’s Lake Forest Academy the past 2 seasons. As a result Faith has over 30 verbal FBS offers to ponder between now and next Februaries signing date.

How did Faith end up playing football at Lake Forest? He was competing in a basketball tournament when Lake Forest head coach Ted Stewart spotted him…and just so happened to be sitting beside his parents. So the journey began…off to Chicago with his 90+ school average and 6’2″ 240 lbs. frame. Faith went from hoping to play basketball at a prep school to playing football at Lake Forest.

So far, Ekakitie is looking into Wisconsin, Iowa, Boston College, Northwestern, Penn State, UCLA, Georgia Tech and Oregon, but still plans on making more visits.

Faith will play for Team World at next January’s Team World vs. Team USA.
