The day two opener was another tie game. Nova Scotia opened up the score at about
13:50 of the first half with a 52 yard run by #21 David Nisbet. The score remained 7‐0
through the first half. At about 2:00 Running back Nisbet continued to pound the ball,
but penalties kept Nova Scotia from scoring.
Winnipeg East had a chance to put points on the board at about 20:10 in the second half
when #6 Drenin Busch set up for a 25 yard field goal. The attempt was wide right.
At 7:16 Drenin Busch found #88 Kevin Thompson. The 59 yard passing play resulted in a
touchdown to tie the game. With just under 2 minutes remaining, Nova Scotia botched
the snap and Winnipeg East took over inside the 10‐yard line. Drenin Buschβs streak
ended when his pass to the end zone was intercepted by #81 Ryan Keays. The game
ended in a tie.
