NFC: Steelers capitalize on Spartan turnovers and cruise to victory

Turning the ball over three times in the first half and paying for each of those turnovers with a touchdown, the Spartans fell behind 28-0 by halftime. Steeler QB Darrell Wood threw three touchdowns in the second quarter, including two long TDs to Kyle Gauthier, a 61 and a 40 yarder, to give the Sault a 28-0 cushion at the half. Jeff McAllister led the defence with 10 tackles. Matt Gauthier had seven tackles and Todd Seeley added six- and one-half tackles. Spartans rushed for 120 yards on 27 carries.
