The two teams were tied 10-10 at halftime but Ottawa outscored Sarnia, 24-0 in the second half which included four turnovers by the Imperials. The shorthanded Imperials β with several of their players, including most of their linemen, playing both ways β tired in the second half and could not hold Ottawa off.
