The University of New Brunswick Seawolves football team has won the Mayor’s Cup. The Seawolves beat the Husson University Eagles 14-13 on Friday in an overtime match.
Both teams scored touchdowns during extra time, but a missed point after touchdown kick by the Eagles proved to be the difference in the game. Seawolves players Joel Seal and Justin Cavan scored touchdowns, with John Phillips kicking both the extra points.
The Seawolves are a ‘junior’ football aged team that competes in the Atlantic Football League.
