NCAA: Brandon Bridge wins first-ever NCAA collegiate game with 3 scores


Former IFAF World Team quarterback BRANDON BRIDGE won his first-ever NCAA collegiate game leading Alcorn State to a 30-14 victory against Mississippi Valley State, while throwing for two scores and running for another.

Canadian Bridge, who only played the second half against MVS, led the Braves to a touchdown on their first possession of the second half finishing with 144 yards including a 72-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. Bridge also had a 4-yard touchdown pass and a one-yard touchdown run.

MATTIAS GOOSSEN started at right tackle for Simon Fraser University who fell 42-7 to Dixie State in Saint George, Utah. SFU rushed for 179 total yards.

Freshman defensive end, MEHDI ABDESMAD played during Boston College Eagles’ heartbreaking 20-19 loss to Duke. Abdesmad played in the 2010 USA Football International Bowl and helped Canada to a silver medal at the 2009 IFAF Junior World Championship.

JACOB RUBY started at right tackle for Richmond, who defeated VMI 34-19 and DILLON GUY participated in Buffalo’s 28-15 loss to Ball State.
