
HAMILTON, Ont. β The following athletes have been named OUA Football Players of the Week for the period ending November 13, 2011.
OFFENCE: Kyle Quinlan, McMaster Marauders, Quarterback
Kyle Quinlan (South Woodslee, Ont.) won the Dalt White Trophy as the game MVP for his performance on Saturday to earn the Marauders their fifth Yates Cup Championship over the Western Mustangs. The veteran quarterback and First Team OUA All-Star completed 16 of 24 passes for 275 yards and four touchdowns against one of the best defensive units in the country. Quinlan also rushed for 103 yards on 10 carries in the victory.
DEFENCE: Aram Eisho, McMaster Marauders, Linebacker
Aram Eisho (Hamilton, Ont.) made an impact in the Yates Cup final for the Marauders recording a team-high 9.5 tackles including two for a loss. This rookie linebacker helped the Marauders hold the Mustangs to just two touchdowns. Eisho did not start in the Mustangs and Marauders first meeting of the season.
SPECIAL TEAMS: Marshall Ferguson, McMaster Marauders, Punter
Marshall Ferguson (Kingston, Ont.) helped the Marauders win the Yates Cup on Saturday in London. The back-up quarterback turned back-up punter completed his second successful punt fake in the post season, and his directional punting gave Western trouble all game resulting in -8 yards for the Mustangs in punt returns.
