Football Manitoba announces 2012 U18 coaching staff

Football Manitoba is pleased to announce the hiring of Rob Baillie, as the U18 Provincial
Team Program’s Head Coach. Baillie began coaching in Manitoba in 1998, where he
was the Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Line Coach with the St. James Rods.

Since then, he has accumulated over 13 years of coaching experience working with
Grass Roots, High School, and Midget programs in Winnipeg, as well as 3+ years
coaching with the Winnipeg Rifles, where he currently holds the position of Defensive
Coordinator. Rob has also been heavily involved with Football Manitoba’s Provincial
Team Programs, serving as the Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Line Coach for 4
years, and as Guest Coach for 3 years.

Since 2005, Baillie has served as the Camp Director and Head Coach for Football
Manitoba’s Junior Player Development Program which focuses on introductory
developmental skills for first year players between the ages of 11-14, and has also
spearheaded the Football Manitoba Youth Development Camps. He is also a fully
certified NCCP Level 3, Master Learning Facilitator, and annual presenter at the Football
Manitoba Super Clinic. Rob also sits on the Football Manitoba Board of Director’s and
holds the portfolio of Vice President of Program Development.

Baillie will be coaching Defensive line, and Special Teams, and has rounded out his
coaching and support staff with the following:

Coach Baillie and his staff will lead the U18 Provincial Program for a 2 year term, and
participate in the 2012 and 2013 Football Canada Cups. Currently, the 2012 Football
Canada Cup will take place in Hamilton, Ontario from July 14 – 23, 2012. Baillie will be
formally introduced to the Football Manitoba community as the U18 Head Coach on
Friday, November 18, 2011 at the Football Manitoba Fundraising Dinner.
