Waterloo county all-stars: McWhinnie voted league MVP (video)

The Waterloo county coaches picked the 1st and 2nd league all-star teams and award winners. Sir John A. Macdonald fifth-year linebacker Andrew McWhinnie was selected as this year’s recipient of the Doug Shuh Award (MVP) as the top player in the WCSSAA senior boys football.
Kyle Swanson of Jacob Hespeler and Rob Thomas of Glenview Park were also nominated for the award.

NOTE: The past three MVP winners – Beau Landry, Resurrection (2008), Andrew Thibaudeau, Cameron Heights (2009) and Tyler VargA, Cameron Heights (2010) – continueD their football careers at the University of Western Ontario.
