Class 2012: Running Back Quentin Chown looking at next level (VIDEO)

2000 yard rusher Quentin Chown is still looking at options for 2012 season.

Quentin Chown has been playing football since grade 10. He became Kennebecasis valley high school’s starting Running Back when he was in grade 11 and since then, Quentin has become one of the most dominant Running Backs that New Brunswick high school football has ever seen. Quentin rushed for over 2000 yards on the season and scored 42 touchdowns leading the Crusaders to their second championship in as many years. For Chown, his most memorable moment came in this years championship game as they came from behind to beat the Mathieu-Martin Matadors.

“We came back and scored 2 touchdowns in 40 seconds, and then went on to win the game in double overtime to cap off a perfect season, that was a special moment” said Chown.

The 6’0 , 195 lbs Running Back has confirmed that he will be entering university next fall and wants to play football at the next level. He is uncertain what he will study come september as many programs are among his interest. He is on the recruitment list of many CIS programs but has not decided where he will go. Quentin has visited Mount Allison but is yet to decide if that is the right place for him.

“I have not decided what il be studying yet or where, I want a university education and i want to play at the CIS level”.

Quentin was named the Player of the year in 2010 and 2011 in the 10 man division. He is known for his speed in the open field and breaking tackles.Crusaders head coach Chris Hopkins thinks very highly of Quentin and believes he will be successful in the CIS.

“Quentin is one of the most special high school players to play in this province in both 10 man and 12 man. He posesses the speed, size and athleticism to make an impact on a university program right away. His best trait is how hard he competes and hopefully we see that on a CIS field soon” said Hopkins.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
