Jean-Phillippe Bégin heads to the University of Laval to play with the Vanier cup runner up Rouge et Or.

Jean-Phillippe played his high school football at ” le college Bourget “, which is located in Rigaud, QC. After high school, he decided to pursue his career and education at the CEGEP in Sherbrooke, where he played one season with “Les Volontaires”. “Winning the Canada cup was my greatest football moment, winning on the national level is something that i cannot even explain, it is something that will be in my memory forever”
said Bégin.

Jean-Phillippe added that without the help of a few people, he would not be the person that he is today.

“My father has always been a big role model for me, he is always making sure i am heading in the right direction”.

He also adds that the Géants’ coaching staff thought him almost everything he knows about playing his position and would also like to thank his head coach in high school Phillippe Malette, who showed him passion for the game and influenced him to pursue his football dream.

The 6’1, 225 pound Linebacker will enroll at the University of Laval in January of 2012.
