
Today, CFC shines the spotlight on class 2012 star offensive lineman and recent Sir Wilfrid Laurier University commit, Tyler Reeves. Tyler began playing football at the age of 10 with the Burlington Stampeders.

As an offensive lineman with his high school team, the Nelson Lords, Tyler has played a significant role in their on field success for the past five seasons. Most recently the standout experienced the highlight of his football career when the Lords were victorious in capturing the Golden Horseshoe Bowl championship title in the 2011 season.
Furthermore, Tyler played with the Burlington Stampeders of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC) and won six championship crowns with the team all the way from atom to varsity levels.
Next up for the Lords graduating star will be continuing the next phase of his football career at Sir Wilfrid Laurier.
“I chose that school because I felt at home there, the winning tradition as well as academic tradition, and the coaches are awesome,” explains the future Golden Hawks player, who will pursue a degree in sociology at the school.
Throughout his entire career, Tyler has been fortunate enough to have positive influences that have shaped him into the player and person he is today.
“My most influential people are my dad and all my previous coaches because I wouldn’t be here without them,” says Tyler, whose future career goal is to enter the field of law enforcement.
Overall, the Lords’ offensive star has gotten a solid education from the game, which he hopes to carry on those skills into the next phase of his life on and off the field at Sir Wilfrid Laurier.
“Things that I’ve learned from playing football are discipline, commitment to excellence and being part of a brotherhood,” adds Tyler.
