Western Mustangs get committment from Will Finch (video)

The countries #1 high school quarterback prospect, Will Finch, is going to call London home for the next few years. Finch has committed to the Western Mustangs. Fresh off a victory over the Americans in the International Bowl, the Nelson Lord / Burlington Stampeder product will be a dynamic duo with running back Tyler Varga (CIS rookie of the year). Western head coach Greg Marshall had this to say about the commitment:

“Will has all the skills, character and attitude to be a great quarterback both in university and beyond. He has had tremendous coaching in both high school and minor football. We are very happy he chose to attend Western.”

Chris Bertoia, Western Mustang Recruiting Coordinator had this to say about the news. “We’re very excited Will chose Western for his next step in Academics and Athletics. He’s a great young man with outstanding attributes both on and off the field. He’ll be a great fit on our team.”

Larry Jusdanis of the SST Quarterback Academy, who has trained Will for the last number of years, had this to say about his protege:
“As a QB coach I believe Will is one the finer QBs to come out of high school. He is in the same league as the Brannagan & Faulds. Potentially he is the next great Canadian QB.”
