Football Nova Scotia announces Team Nova Scotia under-16 player roster

Football Nova Scotia has recently announced their provincial under-16 team player roster. The roster is comprised of 48 players with representation from various areas of the region.

Team Nova Scotia under-16 head coach Chris Valardo explains the mandate of the provincial team program.

“Our under-16 program is a development program where we identify the best 14 and 15 year old football players in Nova Scotia,” comments Valardo. “This program is competing in the junior varsity league which comprised of 15, 16 and 17 year old players.”

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for our kids to play against older, bigger, faster players.”

Overall, player development is a key component for this football program. It prepares the players in the program with the goal of successfully representing their province in future tournaments.

“The under-16 program allows us to prepare our younger athletes to go own to represent Nova Scotia in future Football Canada Cups,” says the Team Nova Scotia head coach. “These kids will be our future football stars in our province.”

“These young players show a lot of heart and dedication every week travelling from across Nova Scotia to train and compete.”
