BCFC Tier 2: North Delta and Richmond come away winners in week 5

This week in the BCFC Tier 2 league games, North Delta Longhorns played the Burnaby Lions and the Richmond Raiders faced the Vancouver Trojans in the second game on Sunday May 6th at Minoru Park in Richmond.

In game 1, the five time consecutive winners North Delta Longhorns won by a large margin this week defeating last week’s winners Burnaby Lions by a score of 48 to 0. The North Delta Longhorns seem to be on a streak of good luck, not yet losing a single game, building towards the championship game which is to be played on May 26th or 27th.

In game 2, Richmond Raiders head coach Scott Robertson said last week that he looks β€œfor big things next week with the addition of the SD guys” which is safe to conclude now that the addition has made a difference as the team defeated Vancouver Trojans by a score of 43 to 8.

Head coach Scott Robertson proudly said, β€œRichmond played a great game.” He highlighted that the β€œdefense is coming together with big hits and great plays from Xander, Sonny, Jeffery, Eric and Geno.” He pointed that not only was the defense coming together but also β€œthe story of this game was our offense.” He said the guys β€œput up great numbers and are finally starting to fire on all cylinders and leading the way was Hunter.” He doesn’t forget the o-line which he gives a β€œbig thanks.”

Next week Richmond Raiders plays Burnaby Lions and North Delta Longhorns plays Vancouver Trojans.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
