Among the teams Aaron has suited up for during his career include his high school team, the Martensville Royals (nine man) and the Kamloops Broncos of the British Columbia Football Conference/Canadian Junior Football League (BCFC/CJFL).

During his time with the Royals, the offensive lineman experienced a couple of special moments in his gridiron career.

“My most memorable football memory would have to be being a part of the first high school team my town has had (the Royals) and beating our geographical “rivals” Warman who were also brand new to the league in 2009,” explains the standout of his experiences.

Next season, Aaron will come back to the Prairies. Recently, he decided to commit to the University of Alberta for a couple of main reasons.

“I committed to Alberta because I have family that live in Edmonton and my offensive line coach in Kamloops, Brian Olthius played there back in his prime,” comments the future Golden Bears player. “His stories and the history of the program just makes it that much easier to pick a school and they had the program I was looking for in school.”

The Royals offensive lineman credits his high school coach Lyle Evanisky for developing him into the player he is today on the field.

“He told every player that he would bend over backwards to help excel his players to the next level, be it junior or college,” adds Aaron. “He kept his word and pushed me to be better every practice in high school.”

However, there is one individual who’s been the greatest influence on Aaron’s life.

“The most influential person in my life would have to be my dad because of his work ethic and dedication to our sports,” says the star player.

When he attends the University of Alberta in the fall, Aaron will pursue a Bachelor of Physical Education degree with a specialization in Sports Performance.

“My goal coming out of high school was to play CIS football but if there is more football in my life I’ll take that step when I come to it I guess,” adds the offensive lineman.

No matter what his future gridiron or life goals may be, Aaron will continue to achieve them by working hard on and off the field.

“I have learned from football that I apply to my life is obviously the work ethic,” explains Aaron. “Anyone who knows my personally will see me at the gym or coaching peewee football.”

“I come from a small town which worked hard to get a high school football team and now I am paying them back by keeping it going by mentoring and helping whenever, whereever I can.”
