The under-18 Spring Flag championship goes this Sunday, June 3 at Carnarvon Park in Vancouver (MacDonald St. & West 16th Ave.) . All the action gets underway at 10 am.
Last year the Vancouver Westside Packers, led by coaches Mike and Doug Pauls, were crowned champions at this event.
Next weekend, the Capital News Centre in Kelowna will host the provincial flag championships for the U-10, U-12, U-14 and U-16 divisions.
In total, counting all five age divisions, there are over 90 teams and 800 players competing in the respective flag football championships.
