All star Ottawa running back has sights on playing South of the border

Ottawa’s Julien Moore has enjoyed a prolific career on both sides of the border, racking up an awards list that reads like a phone book.

Running Back Julien Moore has had a decorated minor football career, dominating on every stage on which he’s played. Earning all star honors many times over, Moore’s achievements are too numerous to list. Some notable awards include being named Junior MVP of the Offence-Defense camp in Rochester, Junior MVP of the Syracuse University Football Camp in 2009 and 2010, Junior MVP of the Montreal Alouettes Camp in 2009, 2010 St. Patrick’s High School Senior Varsity Team MVP as a ninth grader, and receiving the game ball for a MVP effort in the Junior All-American Bowl in Dallas Texas. Recently Julien was named MVP of the 2012 National Underclassmen 7 on 7 Tournament, 2012 Myers OVFL Junior Varsity Offensive MVP, and 2012 high school varsity all star.

Julien is no stranger to the recruiting process, having already visited U of Delaware and Delaware State and has invitations to Ohio and McMaster this summer.

Out of all the experiences in a rich career Julien’s favorite was winning the game ball in the O-D All American Bowl at Cowboys Stadium. Beyond the incredible achievement of winning the game ball Julien notes how important the exposure permitted by the game was, saying the game “allowed me to compete at a really high level and show the American scouts what I can really do.”

On the field Julien lists his father and training coach Pat Woodcock as the greatest influences on his game, molding him into the outstanding player he has become. Off the gridiron Julien says his mother and grandfather are his greatest influences.

Julien’s favorite pro is past Chicago Bears great Walter Payton, saying “His ability to see the field and run with a fearless mentality is precisely how I want to run the ball.”

In addition to a magnificent football career, Julien is also an accomplished musician and songwriter, recently winning first place in the 2013 Spirit of the Capital Youth Award for Technology in the music category. Julien hopes to pursue music along side football at whichever university has the privileged of having him.
