The six-time defending Cullen Cup champion Vancouver Island Raiders will begin their journey towards capturing a seventh consecutive league title this Saturday, August 4 when they open their season on the road facing the Westshore Rebels at Bear Mountain Stadium. Kickoff is 7 pm.
The Raiders-Rebels tilt is one of two games on Saturday to kickoff the BCFC regular season. That same night, new head coach Gavin Lake leads the Okanagan Sun into battle against the Langley Rams at the Apple Bowl in Kelowna. Kickoff is also at 7 pm.
On Sunday, August 5, the opening week of the regular season will conclude with another new head coach, Tyson St. James of the Chilliwack Huskers, making his debut at Hillside Stadium to do battle with the Kamloops Broncos. Kickoff is at 4 pm.
