CEGEP linebacker newest recruit to join RSEQ’s team’s 2014 class.

It was the perfect situation.

Hence, Etienne Morin decided after an official visit to Bishop’s that the Lennoxville, Quebec school is where he wants to continue his gridiron career.

Recently, the 5’9, 205 pound linebacker from St.Luger, Quebec has committed to the Gaiters for the 2014 RSEQ season.

“I have chosen Bishop’s because I felt at the home during my visit and I felt like I did in the Beauce region,” explained Morin of his decision. “I liked the role I could have and the fact of studying in English also leaned heavily on my choice.”

“Bishop’s is a program which does not cease to increase the level of their game and I have excellent confidence in the Head Coach (Kevin Mackey).”

Morin joins the Gaiters after finishing his CEGEP career with Division 2 team Beauce-Appalaches Condors. During his time with the team, the linebacker registered 50 tackles, racked up six tackles for a loss and recorded five sacks.  Moreover, he amassed 274 rushing yards and scored three touchdowns playing at the running back position prior to his position shift to linebacker.
