CFC 100 & CEGEP defensive end joins RSEQ team’s 2015 class.
Late Tuesday night, Mathieu Betts committed to the Laval Rouge et Or.
The 6’3, 245 pound defensive end from Lasalle, Quebec was named CEGEP Division 1 Defensive Player of the Year and selected as a CEGEP Division 1 All-Star for his play with the Vieux-Montreal Spartiates.
Other teams the CFC 100 standout has previously suited up for include RSEQ Juvenile Division 1’s Notre-Dame Cactus and Lasalle Warriors.
With Betts commitment, the Rouge et Or now have eight CFC 100 recruits. The others include defensive lineman Vincent Desjardins, linebacker Cedric Lussier-Roy, quarterback Samuel Chenard, defensive back Louis-Philippe St.Amant, defensive end Marc-Antoine Ouellet as well as offensive linemen Pierre-Karl Lanctot and Samuel Thomassin.
