CFC100 Pro Icons: Bengals RB Chase Brown’s shared path to glory

Welcome back to CFC100 Pro Icons! Today we’re spotlighting one of the most electric playmakers to emerge out of Canada in recent years Cincinnati Bengals RB Chase Brown, whose journey has taken him from London to NFL stardom in the AFC North.

High School Career & Recruiting

Brown’s story begins in London, Ontario, where he was born and raised along with his identical twin brother Philadelphia Eagles DB Sydney Brown. The brothers grew up playing for the London Jr. Mustangs program, where Sydney was originally the running back while Chase played on the defensive side of the ball.

The two went on to begin their high school careers at London South, where they made position switches, with Chase moving to RB. Chase and his brother were standouts at the CFC50 school, playing varsity as grade 10s and dominating. Outside of school, the Browns were concurrently enduring their challenging upbringing, moving between homes with their single mother, Rachael, and younger sister, Myaβ€”even facing a brief stint of homelessness. Ultimately, driven by a desire to secure Division I offers, the Brown twins made the decision to move to St. Stephen’s Episcopal in Florida for their junior and senior years.
