The Cardinal Newman Cardinals held on to an early lead to outlast the St. Thomas More Knights in the Hamilton Catholic final. Dan Peterman caught 3 passes, 2 for touchdowns, and Eric Mezzalira had a touchdown and 135 yards rushing for the Cardiinals. QB Alex Hill was an efficient 7 of 11 passing.

Cardinal Newman will meet Nelson for the GHAC crown on Monday November 24th at 10:00 a.m. at McMaster University. The winner of that game will meet Our Lady of Mount Carmel in the Golden Horseshoe Bowl semi final on Friday November 25th at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke with a 10:00 a.m. kickoff.
